About "Raffles":
RAFFLES was dark brown 23" 70 lbs. named for the city of Singapore. Her call name was taken from a famous hotel in turn named for the founder of Singapore (Sir Thomas Raffles). She easily completed her Champion title. Her head was beautiful and she carried a thick waved coat. In conformation she was correct with balanced angles and sound movement. She was A REAL character – she brooked no one taking her toys, she always tried to avoid going on a leash and she talked. She loved to retrieve... had a great water entry. She carried sticks all the time. She was outgoing and good with people and other dogs. Raffles was the 6th generation in a straight line from our foundation bitch.
Raffles died just a week short of 15 yrs old. She is another of our girls who had one truly significant offspring-her daughter GChS* Pond Hollow Special Delivery. Special was #1 CBR in 2012 and BOS at ACC NSS 2012/BOB Westminster KC 2013 and top Brood bitch in 2015. She lives on.
