Clutch is a 24” 87 lb. deadgrass male. He is a wonderful tempered dog-a beloved companion of his owners. His conformation what a traditional Chesapeake is-substance, deep body, balance of angles, rear is strong and not over angled, a coat with coarseness, wave and undercoat. His head is very pleasing-tight lips, proper muzzle length, broad topskull, good ears size and set with a correct bite. His owners are not interested in showing him to a Ch title but he could easily win one. Outgoing, he travels easily with his owners, who winter in Florida and summer in upstate NY. He takes these transitions in stride with human and dog friends in both places. Swimming is one of his passions along with retrieving.
His pedigree is Pond Hollow breeding with judicious outcrosses. He boasts 10 Master Hunters and 3 FT award winning dogs in his pedigree. His direct sire has proved to be an outstanding sire with many conformation and hunt test titled dogs. Many of his ancestors are some of the top producing Chesapeakes in the breed-BISS CH* Pond Hollow Casablanca WD #2 sire in the breed’s history; Ch Pond Hollow Continental Divide #1 sire in the breed 2012; DC/AFC Westwinds Rudy Of Nordais *** a top Field Trial.
